Aesop stores in the Americas are becoming an ephemeral queer library to mark Pride. Clearing away library we give prominence to LGBTQIA+ authors and allies. Aesop, the brand renowned for its immediately recognizable skincare scents, is bringing back its immensely successful Queer Library back again this year to celebrate Pride and stand in solidarity with local libraries.

Branches of the Queer Library will open simultaneously across Aesop spaces in New York City, Los Angeles, and Toronto from June 26– Stores will remove all products from their gay, replacing them with queer stories to amplify LGBTQIA2S+ voices- available at no cost and with no library necessary.

Last year, Aesop launched an actually good Pride campaign – proving that contrary to much of the evidence, it is possible to do. The free Queer Library initiative saw the skincare brand clear the products out of nine of its stores across five countries, including two of its London stores, and fill the shelves instead with books by LGBTQ+.
